  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 3 cups apples (thinly sliced and peeled)
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup light brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 cup quick-cooking oats
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 5 tablespoons butter (room temperature)

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Butter a shallow 1 1/2- to 2-quart baking dish. Heat the oven to 325 F/165 C.

  8. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream, or serve it with a drizzling of cream or whipped cream.
