Autumnal temptations came about on a lovely autumn Friday afternoon when I had just a few hours left of work but had the pressing desire to enjoy the wonderful weather, which was sure to be one of the last warm days of the year. With only a few ingredients at hand, the drink came together nicely and the lack of alcohol makes this a drink anyone can enjoy.

What I have done is combine the sultry taste of apricot nectar with a splash of citrus and topped it with an herbal soda. Dry Sparkling Lavender Soda is a favorite and it brings that touch of extra flavor to the drink that club soda cannot touch. If this is unavailable, you could use a sweet ginger ale such as Verner's instead.

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Pour the apricot and agave nectars into a collins glass filled with ice.

  3. Add a splash of grapefruit juice and stir well.

  4. Top the drink with lavender soda. Serve and enjoy.
