These unusual biscuits are delightful with so many dishes...or great on their own! Starting with baking mix, all you add is beer and seasonings and in minutes you have a big batch of savory biscuits, that are unusual, full of flavor, and a great accompaniment to everything from chile to stew to eggs to...well, you decide. They go with just about everything except ice cream!
- 4 1/2 cups baking mix (such as Bisquick)
- 1 1/3 cups beer (without the foam)
- 1 1/2 tablespoons seasoning salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
Gather the ingredients.
Preheat oven to 450 F.
Put all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix just until blended. The seasoning doesn't have to be mixed in thoroughly. Don't over mix or the biscuits may be heavy.
With hands, gently form into 24 balls and place on an ungreased or parchment paper-lined baking sheet.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes, or until golden brown.
