The 9 Best Bundt Pans of 2021

The perfect bundt cake, every time.

Our editors independently research, test, and recommend the best products; you can learn more about our review process here. We may receive commissions on purchases made from our chosen links.

If Bundt pans conjure up memories of throwback dinner parties and middle school cakewalks, it’s time to revisit this iconic cake shape. Bundt cakes are making a comeback, in no small part due to the wide variety of pan sizes and designs available on the market now. For a satisfying cake that requires no intricate decorating skill set, the Bundt cake easily impresses whoever is on the receiving end of it.

The biggest benefit of a cake this shape is that you never need to worry about an underbaked center ever again. A ring-shaped cake cooks faster, keeping it moister overall since it spends less time in the oven drying out. Decorating with a simple glaze, chocolate drizzle, or edible flowers instantly transforms your cakes.

Here is a collection of the best Bundt cake pans to get your favorite cakes on the table any night of the week.

Best Overall: Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Bundt Pan

Nordic Ware® Anniversary Bundt® Pan
What We Like
  • Sturdy design to last years

  • Durable non-stick coating

  • Attractive professional shape

What We Don't Like
  • Heavier than other options

  • Hand wash only

It might not come as a surprise to see that Nordic Ware, one of the leaders in bakeware, earned the spot of the best overall Bundt pan. Everything this brand makes is top notch, but the Platinum Collection Bundt Pan raises the bar even higher. It’s made of diecast aluminum that helps hold and evenly distribute heat for an evenly baked, perfectly browned Bundt cake every time and is easy to clean, with no scrubbing or soaking required.

The aluminum, which is finished with a nonstick coating to allow for easy removal, is both rust- and warp-resistant so it will retain its shape even after long-term regular use.

The cake pan’s design is also a step up from the rest. It alternates between sharp-narrow and wide-rounded vertical flutings to create some serious contrast that gives the finished cake a high-end look. The pan is pretty large, too. It can hold 10 to 15 cups of batter, which is enough cake for about 10 to 12 people, assuming no one goes back for seconds (or cuts themselves an extra large piece).

Dimensions: 10.5 x 10.5 x 4.5 inches | Capacity: 10-15 cups | Pieces: One

Best Lightweight: Wilton Perfect Results Premium Fluted Tube Pan

Wilton bundt pan
What We Like
  • Lightweight

  • Affordable price

  • Handles to help pull out of oven

What We Don't Like
  • Handwashing recommended for best results

Although aluminum pans provide perfectly even baking, one downside is that they’re heavy. If you need something a little lighter that performs up to its name, the Wilton Perfect Results Fluted Tube Pan does it at a great price. For a very affordable price, you’ll get a lightweight steel pan with a nonstick surface that provides easy release and easy cleanup.

While the fluting isn’t as dramatic as what you’ll get from more expensive models, there are eight impressions that give that signature Bundt cake look. The pan also has oversized pan handles, so in addition to being lightweight and easy to carry, it’s also easy to grip when it comes time to remove it from the oven.

While the pan is dishwasher-safe, Wilton recommends hand washing in warm, soapy water to keep the pan at its best.

Dimensions: 3.58 x 12.05 x 10.82 inches | Capacity: 8-9 cups | Pieces: One

Best Easy-Grip: Anolon Advanced Nonstick Fluted Mold Baking Pan With Silicone Grips

Anolon Advanced Nonstick Fluted Mold Baking Pan With Silicone Grips
What We Like
  • Heavy-gauge steel for even baking

  • Rubberized easy-grip handles

What We Don't Like
  • Not an especially creative shape

Anolon might not be a name that’s as well-known as Nordic Ware, Wilton, or Calphalon, but its highly-rated bakeware rightfully earned a spot on this list for several reasons. Like others on the list, the nonstick fluted baking pan is made of heavy-gauge steel that’s designed to provide even baking and resist warping, even when exposed to high temperatures. But its grips are what really sets this pan apart.

It has a wide rim and rubberized handles that disperse and absorb heat, so the pan is easier to grasp and remove from the oven than other pans with metal handles or no handles at all. That doesn’t mean you can forgo the oven mitts, but the handles were designed so that you can comfortably grip the pan even with the bulky oven mitts in the way.

Dimensions: 12.2 x 11.2 x 3.5 inches | Capacity: 9-10 cups | Pieces: One

Best Design: Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Heritage Bundt Pan

Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Heritage Bundt Pan
What We Like
  • Impressive cake design

  • Sturdy construction for years of use

What We Don't Like
  • Tight crevices may be hard to clean

  • More expensive than other pans

If you want to impress a crowd—or you just want to make really beautiful cakes to enjoy yourself—the Nordic Ware Platinum Collection Heritage Bundt pan makes getting a high-end look really easy. Instead of the typical vertical fluting of most Bundt pans, it has a swirling design that adds a touch of elegance to any cake you make. But it’s not just pretty—it’s functional, too.

This pan is made of Nordic Ware’s signature diecast aluminum and nonstick coating so you get a perfectly browned cake that’s easy to remove from the pan, every time.

Nordic Ware doesn’t just stop at one out-of-the-box Bundt pan design option, though. In addition to the Heritage, you can choose from the Blossom (a flower-like design), the Crown (a regal finish), and the Fleur de Lis, to name a few.

Dimensions: 10.13 x 10.13 x 3.75 inches | Capacity: 10 cups | Pieces: One

What Our Experts Say

"This Bundt pan delivers beautiful cakes after dozens and dozens of uses. While you can use cooking spray to keep your cake from sticking, butter and flour produce a nicer finish. Pay extra attention when greasing in the deep grooves of this pan to keep the cake from sticking, and make sure not to scratch the inside surface when attempting to get a cake out." - Jenny Kellerhals, Baking Expert for The Spruce Eats

Best Ceramic: casaWare Ceramic Coated NonStick 9-Inch Fluted Cake Pan

casaWare Ceramic Coated NonStick 9-Inch Fluted Cake Pan
What We Like
  • Available in attractive colors

  • Durable double ceramic coating

  • Accessibly priced

What We Don't Like
  • Sometimes difficult to find in stores

Aluminum or steel pans are generally considered the holy grail when it comes to nonstick baking, but the casaWare Ceramic Fluted Cake Pan aims to give tradition a run for its money. While the interior is made of carbon steel, the exterior is double-coated with a ceramic that’s PFOA, PTFE, and PFOS free and won’t peel or blister, even in high heat.

There are two color options—red/cream and blue granite—and the size and heat resistance vary depending on which one you pick. The red/cream pan produces a 9-inch cake and can withstand temperatures of up to 536 degrees Fahrenheit. The blue granite pan is a little bigger—it makes 9.5-inch cakes—but its temperature resistance maxes out at 450 degrees.

Even though the pans are slightly different, they’re both designed to provide even baking and an easy, mess-free release when it comes time to remove the Bundt cake.

CHEFMADE 4PCS Mini Bundt Pan Set, 4-Inch Non-stick Carbon Steel Kugelhopf Mold
What We Like
  • Adorable mini cakes for individual desserts

And unlike other nonstick pans, the coating on these Bundt pans is PTFE and PFOA free. The pans are made with an FDA-approved silicone coating that can withstand really high temperatures.

Best Fillable: Baker's Advantage Fillables 2-Piece Non-Stick Pan, 9-Inch

Baker's Advantage Fillables 2-Piece Non-Stick Pan, 9-Inch
What We Like
  • Unique design for filled cakes

  • Large cake for many servings

  • Easy to use

What We Don't Like
  • More expensive than other options

You don’t necessarily need a specialized pan to make filled cakes, but it sure makes things easier. The Baker’s Advantage 2-Piece Bundt Pan comes in two separate pieces that allow you to bake a top and a bottom piece for your cake and then put them together after they’re filled. This completely eliminates the need for cutting your Bundt cake in two if you want to fill it with extra frosting or ganache. But that’s not the only thing that makes this pan unique.

The bottom piece also has 12 protruding grooves that create fillable pockets in the finished cake. You can fill these pockets with anything you want from berries to candy to sprinkles to caramel pieces. And arguably the best part? These grooves are perfectly positioned in the middle of each scalloped edge so that you know exactly where to cut so that every slice of cake has an extra surprise in the center.

The nonstick pan is fairly large, too. Each side can hold an entire box of cake mix to create a double layer 9-inch cake.

Dimensions: 11.34 x 11.34 x 3.34 inches | Capacity: 2 packages of cake mix | Pieces: Two

What to Look for When Buying a Bundt Pan

Size

Bundt pans come in different sizes. Unless you have a favorite Bundt cake recipe that specifies a different size, a 9 1/2- to 10-inch Bundt pan with 10 to 12 cups capacity can be used for most recipes. It is possible to bake a smaller Bundt cake in a larger pan, but it will come out flatter. If you like the special presentation of portion-sized Bundt cakes, consider mini Bundt cakes.

Material

Selecting a Bundt pan with nonstick coating is a no-brainer, but the choice remains between aluminum, steel, and ceramic. If the weight of the pan is a consideration, you are better off with a pan made of lightweight steel rather than heavy-gauge steel or cast aluminum.

Fluting

A Bundt cake is as much as about looks as it is about taste. The prettier the fluting pattern and the deeper the grooves, the more impressive the cake. Keep in mind, though, that an intricate fluting pattern is not always easy to grease or clean.

Washing

Some Bundt pans are dishwasher safe, while others need to be hand-washed.

Handles

Because of their fluting, firmly gripping onto a Bundt pan can be tricky, especially when removing it from the oven. Some models come with handles; although you still need oven mitts or potholders for heat insulation, but Bundt pans with handles do make it easier to maneuver the pan.

Versatility

If you want to make Bundt cake in a pressure cooker or Instant Pot cooker, look for a pan suitable for use in appliances other than a conventional oven.
