Wild Alaskan Company was founded by a third-generation fisherman who wanted to ship Alaskan-caught salmon and other fish across the U.S., making it easy and accessible for everyone. Inspired by the Real Food Movement, the founder created a subscription-based service that ships flash-frozen, individually portioned, and vacuum-sealed salmon in compostable insulated boxes and dry ice.

A Wild Alaskan Company subscription includes the choice of three box options: one that is all salmon, one that is all white fish, and one that is a mix of the two. The monthly boxes contain 12 or 24 individual six-ounce pieces. You can add on more fish, adjust your fish selection, or change the delivery to every six weeks or every two months. All fish is wild-caught and sustainably sourced, never farm raised.  

Blue Circle Foods is an employee-owned company that ships flash-frozen raw Norwegian Atlantic salmon and wild-caught sockeye salmon, as well as other vacuum-sealed, ready-to-eat salmon. All ready-to-eat salmon is farm raised under strict standards: Fish are raised in deep-water pens that maintain a ratio of two percent fish to 98 percent water, and the salmon are never given added hormones, antibiotics, sugar, or synthetic colorants. Wild-caught sockeye salmon is sustainably caught by native Alaskan fishers and processed within 24 hours of catch. The company follows the environmental standards created by the Monterey Bay Aquarium Seafood Watch, the Marine Stewardship Council, and the Aquaculture Stewardship Council.

Beyond the ready-to-eat salmon and raw ingredient salmon, Blue Circle Foods also has Pacific white shrimp, wild-caught cod, and yellowfin tuna, as well as a wide range of salmon burgers, salmon sausage, and salmon salad. All orders are shipped with environmentally friendly cooler boxes that can either be recycled or composted, along with dry ice to keep the food fresh. Salmon Sisters is co-founded and run by Emma and Claire, along with their small team. Each box of wild Alaska sockeye salmon has 10 pounds of fish, all individually portioned into eight-ounce pieces, vacuum-sealed, and flash frozen. 

Salmon Sisters has multiple sustainable seafood certifications, including the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC), Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute (ASMI), Responsible Fisheries Management (RFM), and is recognized by the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations. All fish is caught by small-scale fishing families and shipped with dry ice in a recyclable container.
