Butter Pecan Cookies

 These buttery cookies are made with brown sugar and lots of chopped pecans.

What You'll Need

  • 1 cup butter (room temperature)
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar (​firmly packed)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 1/4 cups flour (all-purpose flour)
  • 1 teaspoon soda
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chopped pecans

How to Make It

  1. Cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in eggs and vanilla extract.
  2. Combine dry ingredients; add to creamed mixture, blending well. Fold in the chopped pecans.
  3. Drop dough by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 375 F for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
