Carroll Pellegrinelli is a freelance writer and author of two books; her focus is on baking, desserts, and travel.
Carroll Pellegrinelli is a former writer for The Spruce, contributing dessert and baking recipes and articles for 20 years. She has been creaming butter and sugar since she was tall enough to reach the kitchen counter and learned how to bake bread alongside her father. As an adult, she and her husband owned and operated a successful catering and personal chef service. Carroll has also written two food-related books and contributed recipes to mystery novels.

Carroll Pellegrinelli is the author of "Starter Sourdough: The Step-by-Step Guide to Sourdough Starters, Baking Loaves, Baguettes, Pancakes, and More," published by Rockridge Press in 2019. Her first book, "Travel With the Lee Girls as They Shop and Eat Their Way Through the South: New Orleans and the French Quarter," combines her love for food and travel, as well as her affinity for the southern U.S.
There are two mystery novels that feature her recipes, "Scones and Bones, a Tea Shop Mystery" by Laura Childs, and "Murder Takes the Cake," by Gayle Trent. Carroll also co-chaired and edited a community cookbook.
Her cookbook reviews are featured on the backs of "101 Recipes for Gluten-Free Microwave Mug Cakes" by Stacey J. Miller and "Baking With Friends: Recipes, Tips and Fun Facts for Teaching Kids to Bake" by Charlene Patton and Sharon Davis.
She also served as a judge at the American Pie Council/Crisco National Pie Championships in Celebration, Florida.
