Charles Usher

Charles is a contract lifestyle content editor on Dotdash Meredith's Performance Marketing team, where he works on articles for travel, food, and home sites. He's worked in print and digital media for nearly a decade as a magazine editor and freelance writer and is the author of the book "Seoul Sub→urban."

Charles is quick to evangelize for his home state's beer and cheese curds, but his stomach is really still in Seoul, where he lived for 12 years, and he doubts he'll ever find a more perfect dining experience than braised pork and kimchi served with a kettle of makgeolli in an old jumak tavern.

When not working, Charles enjoys traveling, spending time with his wife and dog, and subjecting himself to the agonies and ecstasies (agonies, mostly) of AS Roma and FC Seoul fandom.

Charles holds a bachelor's degree in English and creative writing from the University of Wisconsin.
