Chicken with Sauce Recipes

Chicken is the most popular meat, and for good reason. It's mild, easy to prepare inexpensive, and can be flavored so many ways. This collection is for chicken made with a sauce. Chicken with sauce is automatically going to be more tender and more flavorful than plain baked, grilled, or poached chicken. And when the recipe has a sauce, all you have to add is some pasta or rice and a vegetable for a complete meal.

You can change these recipes in many ways. If it calls for chicken breasts, substitute thighs and cook a few minutes longer. Or use chicken drumsticks. The chicken with cherry sauce recipe can be made with grapes or raspberries instead. Use your imagination to create your own wonderful recipes - and then write them down so they can become part of your regular rotation.

Chicken with Sauce Recipes

  • Crockpot Chicken Supreme
This wonderful and super easy recipe makes a fabulous smooth and creamy sauce to serve with the tender chicken. What more could you want?
  • Chicken Paprikash
Paprika, tomato paste, and sour cream are the ingredients in this rich and delicious sauce. Serve with mashed potatoes on a cold night.
  • Sweet and Spicy Crockpot Chicken
The combination of sweet and sour sauce with barbecue sauce, onion and garlic creates a fabulous, suave sauce for this tender chicken.
  • Slow Cooker Lemon Chicken and Carrots
The slow cooker is, of course, one of the best appliances to make a simple sauce. Lemon juice, lemonade concentrate, and ketchup make chicken thighs super tender and juicy. Yum.
  • Chicken Florentine
This super easy six ingredient recipe uses alfredo sauce and frozen spinach to create a creamy sauce for chicken, served over fettuccine.
  • Chicken Spaghetti
Another five ingredient recipe! I think that cooking the chicken directly in spaghetti sauce makes the most tender and moist result ever. You can serve this over cooked rice if you'd like.
  • Lemon Chicken Scalloppini
Veal is usually cooked this way, but chicken thighs make an inexpensive and delicious substitute. Use 2/3 cup chicken broth if you don't want to use (or don't have) white wine.
  • Creamy Italian Chicken
This is one of my favorite chicken recipes. I sometimes add baby carrots to the crockpot, but you can make it with just chicken.
  • Chicken Scampi
What could be better than Shrimp Scampi? Chicken Scampi! It's less expensive and just as delicious.
