Soong-Kroeger is also the founder and editor of one of Australia’s leading food blogs, The Hungry Australian. The Hungry Australian has been profiled by Yummly, Sumptuous and Foodista, while Soong-Kroeger’s recipes and food photography have been featured on GourmetLive, Apartment Therapy’s The Kitchn, and The Hoopla.

In early 2014 The Hungry Australian was judged both Best Australian Blog 2014 and Best Food Blog 2014 in the Australian Writer’s Centre’s Best Australian Blogs competition, over 1,100+ other blogs. The Hungry Australian was also a Finalist and Winner of the Outstanding Use of Photography award in the same competition in 2013.

The Hungry Australian was included in Inspired’s global list 2015 Top 100 Food Bloggers.

Her food photography regularly appears on Tastespotting, Tasteologie, Foodgawker and Serious Eats’ Photograzing, too. Three of Soong-Kroeger's recipes from The Hungry Australian appeared ABC’s Foodie app for iPad alongside recipes by leading Australian chefs like Simon Bryant, Maggie Beer, Matt Moran and Poh Ling Yeow.

After traveling extensively, and living in Shanghai, Hong Kong, London, Leeds and Melbourne, Soong-Kroeger truly has a global palette. She moved back to her hometown of Adelaide, South Australia, and is enjoying discovering its best eats all over again. She currently serves as director of marketing for Makers Empire.
