- 4 apples (about 4 cups diced or sliced)
- 1/4 cup water
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup softened butter
- Heat the oven to 350° F. Butter a 2-quart baking dish.
- Peel and core the apples and then slice into thin wedges. Alternatively, you may dice the apple.
- Place the prepared apples in the prepared 2-quart baking dish. Add water.
