Colleen Graham is a mixologist and writer with a passion for creating and sharing great cocktails and mixed drinks that enrich everyday life.

Colleen has spent over a decade writing about cocktails and bartending for The Spruce and various outlets. Over this time, she has researched and reported on a variety of aspects related to the art and practice of creating fine drinks.

This experience has allowed her to rediscover classic cocktails and their history and create and try new, more culinary drinks. It is also an opportunity to explore the great array of distilled spirits and ingredients available today and go behind the scenes with the talented people of the hospitality and liquor industries.

Graham is also a cocktail consultant, creating themed cocktail menus and individual drink recipes for a variety of clients. She is a regular drink columnist for Maximum Yield's HydroLife, has contributed to Bar None Drinks, and operates the website, which focuses on non-alcoholic beverages.

In addition, Graham is a writer and editor on a variety of additional topics that fit into her personal interests. These include photography and art, gardening and herbs, baking, and DIY projects of all kinds.

Graham also owns and operates a commercial and fine art photography studio with her husband, Shannon. Beverage photography just happens to be one of their specialties and they exclusively use film for their artwork.

Colleen's Books

In 2012, Colleen's first book was published and it was followed up by "Tequila: Cocktails With a Kick" in 2017. Both are a celebration of tequila and include 90 cocktail and shooter recipes, tequila history, production, and tips for setting up a tequila-centered bar.

I invite you to join me in learning the art of mixing great drinks and experimenting with new and interesting flavors. The diversity in tastes and styles of cocktails is so vast that this is a never-ending pursuit. It's also a fun one and when you get the first taste of a truly great drink, the experience is unforgettable.

Call me old-fashioned, but there's something to making anything from scratch and taking the time to create rather than use any of the shortcuts that are readily available today. It's so much more enjoyable when you know that you made it and it's really not that difficult once you understand the basics

Whether it's your morning coffee, afternoon tea, or happy hour cocktail, I firmly believe that everyone deserves a great drink!

I welcome any recipes, suggestions, and requests via email:
