Lemon-lime soda is the secret ingredient in this easy slow cooker recipe. The ham is topped with a delicious homemade spiced honey mustard sauce. Try it with sweet potato biscuits.
"This easy recipe result in a sweet and warmly spiced ham thanks to the cinnamon and cloves. Don't use a pre-sliced ham or it's prone to drying out. The glaze soaks into the meat during the last 30 minutes of cooking. Next time, I'll make a bit more glaze to serve with the ham." —Danielle Centoni
3 to 4 pounds boneless fully cooked ham
1 (12-ounce) can Sprite or 7-Up soft drink
1/4 cup honey
1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Gather the ingredients.
Place ham in the slow cooker and pour the soda over it.
Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours, or 3 to 4 hours on high.
To make the glaze, about 30 minutes before serving, combine honey, mustard, cloves, cinnamon, and 3 tablespoons of drippings from the bottom of the slow cooker.
Spread glaze over ham and continue cooking. Let ham stand for 15 minutes before slicing.
