Once you learn how to make sloppy joes with this easy recipe, you can vary it lots of different ways. Try using a hot and spicy mustard or a honey mustard in place of the yellow mustard. Add chopped green and red peppers (brown with the onions and ground beef). Or vary the type of rolls you use. I like to use potato bread rolls, but Hawaiian rolls are nice, too.
Ingredients
- 1 large onion (diced)
- 1 pound. extra lean ground beef (90% lean)
- 1-1/2 cups ketchup

- 1 teaspoon brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1/4 teaspoon. pepper
- 4 sandwich-size potato rolls
Steps to Make It
