What You'll Need

  • 1 pound sugar (powdered, XXXX Confectioner's Sugar)
  • 2 egg whites
  • 1/2 cup shortening (solid)

How to Make It

Mix all the above ingredients together and spread on a cool cake. This recipe is very old, but I use it on my wedding cakes and just cakes for the children.

You may a cocoa to it to change the style. If you do you will need to add a little more Crisco!
