Following a career as a chef and restaurateur, British-born Elaine Lemm turned her interest to food writing. She has a great passion for all foods but considers herself an expert on both traditional and modern British cuisine.

Experience
Originally trained in art and design, Elaine switched careers while living in France to follow her passion for cooking. She attended culinary school in Paris and went on to set up her international cookery school, Cuisine Eclairée, with branches in France, Italy, Sweden, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
For seven years as the food and wine editor at Yorkshire Life Magazine, she initiated and developed its annual Food and Wine awards and launched the first food-dedicated magazine in the county. She has since written for many leading magazines including Waitrose Food Illustrated, BBC Good Food, and Olive, and has served as a restaurant critic for the Yorkshire Post newspaper for more than 20 years.
Additionally, Elaine is C of Judges White Rose Awards, the prestigious Yorkshire Tourism Awards, is co-chair of the national Farm Shop and Deli Awards in the UK, and is a member of the Guild of Food Writers. She also frequently appears on national television and radio including the BBC, Channel 4, and BBC Radio 4.
Education
Elaine trained at the Ritz-Escoffier Ecole de Gastronomie in Paris and Manoir aux Quat' Saisons in Oxford under renowned chef Raymond Blanc. Her best and favorite teacher, however, will always be her mother, who was a great cook.
Awards and Publications
Elaine is a renowned British food writer and was voted one of the top 50 food writers in the UK. She is the author of three books: "The Great Book of Yorkshire Pudding," "The Great Book of Rhubarb," and "The Great Book of Tea." Her long-awaited fourth book, "More Than Yorkshire Puddings" was published in 2022 to high acclaim
