This is a potion I make when I need a boost. It makes me feel pretty good. You can drink it cold or warm. Sometimes I drink it in the morning over ice mixed with seltzer. Drink it at night warmed up in a mug in the microwave.

Super Soothing Potion

Ingredients

  • 3 cups boiling water

  • 1 (3-inch) piece ginger

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 (3-inch) stick cinnamon sticks

  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  • Pinch kosher salt

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Crush ginger with a pan or a knife.

  3. In a large Mason jar, combine all of the ingredients and stir until honey is dissolved.

  4. Drink immediately or keep in a glass container in refrigerator for up to five days.

Tips

  • Add more boiling water, vinegar and honey to the leftover ginger and cinnamon.
  • Alter the amounts of vinegar, honey and cayenne depending on how sour, sweet, or spicy you like.
