There are lots of five ingredient recipes floating around out there - but how many five ingredient meals are there? That's not so easy. I already have a head start, because I have Four Ingredient Recipes, Four Ingredient Crockpot Recipes, Three Ingredient Recipes and Three Ingredient Crockpot Recipes collected at the site. You can just add some cooked carrots or asparagus plus some crusty bread to those recipes and voila - five ingredient meal!

The tricks to these meals are using the best quality ingredients you can find because each ingredient is so important; dual-use ingredients like a rich salad dressing that can also be used as a marinade; and of course, my favorite: ingredients like frozen vegetable medleys that count as one ingredient but actually add 5-6 ingredients to the recipe.

Make sure that you keep track of meals that are a hit with your family. Then just keep these ingredients on hand in the pantry, fridge, and freezer, and you will almost never have to rely on take-out or drive-through dinners again.
