Make this big batch cocktail ahead of time for any party or event. A sweet ginger simple syrup marries beautifully with freshly brewed tea and moscato for a sparkling cocktail that's light and refreshing.
Ingredients
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup peeled and thinly sliced fresh ginger
- 2½ qt. fresh brewed ice tea
- 1 bottle moscato
- 12 pieces candied ginger (for garnish)
- 1 bottle moscato
- Ice cubes
Steps to Make It
-
Gather the ingredients.
-
To make the ginger simple syrup, bring 1 cup sugar and 1 cup water to a boil. Make sure sugar is completely dissolved before removing from the heat and adding the fresh ginger.
-
Let sit for about 10 minutes to steep. Strain and then allow the syrup to completely cool.
-
In a pitcher, combine the syrup and tea and put in the refrigerator to chill.
-
Fill tall glasses with ice cubes. Pour 1 cup of the tea in and then top off with about 1/4 cup moscato. Serve with a piece of candied ginger on rim or floating in the glass.
