This is a rich and flavorful Teriyaki sauce. Use it as a marinade, dipping sauce, or brush it on meats and vegetables right before you take them off the grill.

What You'll Need

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup oyster sauce
  • 1-2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar (packed)
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup
  • 2 teaspoons ginger (fresh, minced)
  • 2 teaspoons sesame seeds (toasted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 dash black pepper

How to Make It

  • Marinade or Baste:

  1. Warm honey in the microwave for 20-30 seconds.
  2. Add the honey to a medium bowl and combine with remaining ingredients.
  3. Use immediately as a marinade or baste.
  4. Sauce:

  5. If you are interested in making a sauce, add all ingredients to a saucepan and simmer over medium-low heat for 8-10 minutes, stirring often.
  6. Once the mixture has reduced a bit and it coats the back of a spoon, remove from heat and let cool for 2-3 minutes.
  1. Drizzle on top of cooked vegetables and meat or serve on the side.
