These buffalo wings are marinated in a sweet, flavorful marinade that keeps the chicken moist and gives it a fantastic flavor. Heat is provided by a habanero chili that requires care when dicing.


  • 24 chicken wings
  • 1 cup/240 mL pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons/30 mL balsamic vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons/30 mL ​brown sugar
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 habanero chili, diced (wear kitchen gloves when doing this)
  • 1/2 teaspoon/2.5 mL ground allspice
  • salt and pepper to taste

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Preheat grill. Combine all ingredients (except chicken wings) in a small saucepan and let boil for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, pour into a large bowl and let cool.

  3. Add chicken wings to the marinade and marinate in the refrigerator for 2 hours or more.

  4. Grill over medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes or until cooked through.

  5. Serve chicken wings with celery and carrot sticks.

  6. Enjoy!
