- 3 pounds bone-in, skin on chicken pieces (thighs, drumsticks, breasts)
- 3 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
- Pinch cayenne (or to taste)
- 1 cup barbecue sauce (plus more for serving)
Gather the ingredients.
