Jalapeno squares are made with a quiche-type mixture of eggs and chile peppers and cheese. Serve these spicy treats as appetizers with salsa and sour cream on the side. 

Ingredients

  • 3-5 jalapenos (seeds removed, chopped)
  • 1 can/4 ounces chili peppers (chopped mild green chiles)
  • 8 ounces Monterey Jack ( shredded)
  • 8 ounces Cheddar cheese (shredded)
  • 6 eggs (beaten)
  • 1 dash garlic powder

Steps to Make It

  1. Butter a 9-inch baking pan. Heat the oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Spread chopped jalapeno peppers and mild chile peppers in the bottom of the dish. Spread cheeses over peppers. Add ​a dash of garlic powder to beaten eggs and pour over cheeses.

  3. Bake at 350° F for 30 minutes. Cut into small squares.
