Good food for Jehan is evocative and she often jokes about putting her money where her mouth is. She began her food blog as an accidental passion project when she felt a compelling need to chronicle the everyday plates she was trying out at the time. Nigella Lawson is her not-so-secret guilty pleasure and she's not ashamed to admit that she often falls asleep while enjoying marathon reruns. Her secret skill is being able to arm-twist the most infamously guarded home cook to part with his or her recipes. When she's not dreaming about her next meal, she spends most of her time working on fiction writing.

Experience

Jehan has worked for nine years in Dubai as a lifestyle features writer. She moved to Chennai, India, last year and now teaches feature writing to postgraduate journalism students.. Food is, and always has been, what she considers her preferred beat. 

Jehan gave up the good life of reviewing restaurants to write a weekly food column for Asiaville, where she covers the joys of humble home cooking and gets to explore her love for heirloom recipes. Food has an uncanny way of featuring in her fiction as well, a fact that was pointed out by peers during creative writing workshops at university, who observed how descriptions of what Jehan grew up eating and loved, crept into her work.

Education

 Jehan received a M.A. Creative Writing from Bath Spa University in the United Kingdom.
