Experience

Katherine grew up among a family of farmers and plant scientists in California’s Napa Valley, where she inherited a foundational appreciation for agriculture and a passion for good food. Along with her editorial background, Katherine has over a decade’s worth of hospitality experience in the food and beverage industry. She worked as a lifestyle reporter in Honolulu, spent time as a freelance writer, and covered food insecurity at Borgen Magazine before coming to Dotdash Meredith.

When she’s not working, you can usually find her cooking at home, planning her next travel excursion, or with her nose in a novel (usually with a cup of tea nearby).

Katherine has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature from Chapman University.
