Do It For The Cocktail Culture was inspired by the recent Black Lives Matter Movement and George Floyd protests that pushed for education on the Black experience in America. The brand is designed to enlighten, educate, and unify people from all backgrounds.
Whether telling stories of Black history figures through a "Cocktale," revealing slavery's impact on the liquor industry, or building awareness of Black-owned liquor brands, our focus is to share Black stories.
We at Do It For The Cocktail Culture drink, sleep, and breathe Black history. This is a brand for all you socially conscious and culture-driven drinkers out there.
Experience
An Events Manager with 10+ years of hospitality experience, LaShana learned how to be inventive and resourceful channeling these skills and knowledge into D.I.F.T.C.C. A self-taught history buff based in New York, LaShana formerly worked as the Event Manager for restaurateurs Amy Knoll Fraser and celebrity chef Neal Fraser's award-winning venue Vibiana in Downtown Los Angeles.
In less than one month of its inception in June 2020, D.I.F.T.C.C. had inspired thousands to learn more about Black history. The movement continues to rapidly grow, and its founder will continue the fight against systemic racism and social injustice against the Black community as long as they are still occurring. Cheers to Black history!
