Marisel Salazar a food, restaurant, and travel writer and video host based in New York City. An anchovy-stuffed olive eaten in Spain altered the course of her life. She is originally from Panama, and has lived in Hawaii, Japan, Washington, DC, and Madrid.

She has worked extensively with restaurants and chefs, having produced bespoke culinary events with James Beard award-winning, Michelin-starred, and up-and-coming chefs across the U.S. like Renee Erickson of The Whale Wins, Sara Kramer and Sarah Hymanson of Kismet, and Carrie and Rupert Blease of Lord Stanley, as well as curating neighborhood dining guides for hotel properties.
She works in many aspects of the food/digital industry including editorial writing, copywriting, social media, and content creation.
Education
Marisel received a Bachelor's of Science in Communications with Concentration in Nutrition from Cornell University. She is also a member of the Newswomen’s Club of New York.
