Long before graduating from Brown Aveda Institute and becoming a board-licensed esthetician, Mercedes perfected her craft of creating gorgeous, vibrant looks for her clients while working for top cosmetic companies. Mercedes is also known for her creative cooking skills. During the COVID-19 pandemic, her culinary skills combined with her love for shopping at Trader Joe’s led to create her lifestyle business, Black Girls in Trader Joe’s (BGITJ).
