Hi, I'm Monti. Thanks for checking my bio out. I'm a food TV personality, food writer, and special events chef. I moved to Nashville Summer of '22 to work as BudgetBytes.com's Senior Food Editor. I'm currently writing my first cookbook, Spanglish, for Simon Element.
Experience
I'm a self-taught Puerto Rican chef and I'm dedicated to bringing the flavors of my island to the mainland. I got my start in the culinary world as a contestant on Gordon Ramsay's MasterChef, 156 years ago. Since then, you might have seen me doing my best not to talk with my mouth full (and failing miserably) on some of your favorite food channels, like PBS, Netflix, and Food Network.
I'm a special events chef, which sometimes means hosting a cooking demo at a food festival and other times means cooking for parties of 600 or more people. I'm also the Senior Food Editor of Budget Bytes, a site that's dedicated to showing you how to put together unforgettable meals without breaking the bank. I'm really excited to be working on my first cookbook, Spanglish, for Simon Element.
