Nexgrill has been selling gas grills for many years and is one of the largest grill suppliers in North America. They sell a lot of products under other brand names as well as their own. The Nexgrill Evolution Infrared Plus, sold only at Home Depot, is their inexpensive small footprint gas grill. It has two burners, 29,000 BTUs of maximum heat output, and infrared cooking technology.
This petite grill is an ideal choice for a couple, a small family, or a household with limited outdoor space. The 311 square inches of primary grilling space works out to be about 17 x 18 inches in surface area, which might not be a lot of space when it comes to a grill but is actually plenty for most families.
Description and Specs
The Nexgrill Evolution Infrared Plus is a space-saver, two-burner gas grill that is ideal for a griller with a restricted outdoor area. The grill is made with corrosion-resistant materials—including stainless steel and painted steel—and porcelain-coated, cast-iron cooking grates. The main burners have a maximum output of 29,000 BTU and the electronic ignition makes for easy lighting. This grill comes with two fold-down side tables and a grill cover.
The Nexgrill Evolution's most unique feature is the infrared technology—instead of cooking traditionally over the grates, you can slide in the provided infrared plates for a more indirect and slower cooking method. You place the meat and vegetables directly onto the stainless steel infrared plates which ensure your food will be juicy and evenly cooked.

Pros and Cons
Although this isn't a large grill loaded with features, it does have a bit of quality to it, namely the stainless-steel accent pieces. However, once you get down to the base components you find that this isn't a heavy or highly durable grill—many parts are very thin and everything but the burners are low grade. When kept clean and covered, though, it should last longer than many of the similarly priced products sitting on the floor at Home Depot.
If space is a factor, then the Evolution Infrared Plus is a good choice with its petite frame and side tables that fold down, keeping its footprint to a minimum. The heat output is good, although not that evenly distributed. If you want a small grill and don't want to spend a lot, then this isn't a bad choice. There are, however, better small gas grills out there.
