This delicious no egg wonder cake is a chocolate cake made with cocoa and vanilla and other ingredients.

What You'll Need

  • 1 3/4 cup flour (cake flour, sifted)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup cocoa
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/3 cup shortening
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 cup water (cold)

How to Make It

  1. Sift dry ingredients together into a mixing bowl.
  2. Add remaining ingredients and beat until almost smooth. Pour into a greased and floured a 9-inch square baking pan.
  3. Bake at 350 F for about 30 minutes, or until a wooden pick or cake tester inserted in center comes out clean.
  4. Frost cake or serve with whipped topping.
