Old Fashioned Desserts from the 60's and Earlier

The way society is heading these days, I desperately need a little comforting. These desserts remind me of simpler times. I realize that things were just as crazy when I was growing up, but I was a kid. Mother and Dad were my world. They got to do all the worrying. My job was playing and going to school. The show has done a good job of showing what life was like back in the 60's. This cake would been exactly what they would have served at one of their parties.
