Pete Scherer is a self-taught cook and baker. His professional experience began when he started an in-house bread program for chef Suzanne Goin at her restaurants A.O.C. and Lucques. He later went on to create a wide range of breads and pastries for many other Los Angeles establishments, including Salt's Cure, L&E Oyster Bar, and Go Get 'Em Tiger. In 2014, Pete left the long hours and daily grind of professional kitchens to start a family. He enjoys writing about food and remains a passionate home cook.
