Sometimes you find a great recipe but it uses measurements that are not familiar to you, either metric or imperial depending on where you live. Conversion tables come in handy when this situation arises. Here are some common measurements that will help you create whatever recipe you wish to try. Recipes require that the ingredients are measured accurately and it is a good idea to have a kitchen scale and set of complete measuring cups on hand when baking.

US Cups to Metric

  • 1/4 cup equals 60 mL
  • 1/3 cup equals 70 mL
  • 1/2 cup equals 125 mL
  • 2/3 cup equals 150 mL
  • 3/4 cup equals 175 mL
  • 1 cup equals 250 mL
