Robin Grose is a former writer for The Spruce, contributing articles and recipes for almost five years. Born and raised in the Midwestern United States, Robin lived in Mexico City for over 20 years. She now resides in South Florida.
She first developed a serious interest in food after moving to Mexico in the 1980s. Constantly marinated in the daily life and culture for more than two decades, Robin picked up the key flavors and techniques of authentic Mexican cuisine from many sources: friends and neighbors, homemaking magazines, street food, cultural television, and culinary history books.
Education
Robin Grose studied at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) to become a teacher of English as a foreign language. She taught all levels of students during her 17 years at the Instituto Politécnico Nacional in Mexico City.
