Seudah Shelishit (third meal) is an informal meal enjoyed towards the end of Shabbat.

Seudah Shlishit is a great opportunity to invite friends over late Saturday afternoon. Especially during the summer months, when Shabbos ends late, we enjoy sitting outside and eating salads, dairy dishes, and desserts with friends.

The best Seudah Shelishit recipes are quick and easy as well as healthy and lite. After preparing meat Shabbat dishes, you don't want to work too hard preparing dairy Seudah Shelishit dishes.

And your guests, who are likely to have eaten well during the Sabbath, will prefer a lite ending to Shabbos.

1. Egg Salad and Tuna Salad:

My sister-in-law, with her six children and job as a Realtor, doesn't have much time to cook. But she is neighborhood renown for her Egg Salad and Tuna Salad. Her fridge is always stocked with these salads, so her kids can easily make themselves sandwiches. These recipes prove, once again, that sometimes simple is best.

2. Egg Souffle:

If I am serving bagels at Seudah Shelishit, then I like to serve them with this light and cheesy Egg Souffle. The egg souffle is surprisingly quick and easy to prepare. This kosher dairy dish looks fantastic, and it tastes especially great when served with bagels and fruit salad.

3. Tuna Pasta Salad:

For a healthy and satiating salad that your children may even enjoy, try this light, colorful and tasty Tuna Pasta Salad.

With tuna, pasta and vegetables, the salad makes a yummy meal-in-one.

Plus, the pasta-spinach-cheese combination is so delicious that even those who are not pasta enthusiasts will like it.

5. Cheese Vegetable Lasagna:

This Cheese Vegetable Lasagna recipe is fun because it is different every time I make it. I choose which vegetables to include according to the season, price and diners' preferences.
