This easy crock pot apple butter is super easy to make with applesauce, cider, and spices. It makes a fabulous spread for morning toast or biscuits.
If you prefer an apple butter made with fresh apples, try Mary's slow cooker apple butter or this stovetop apple butter.
- 7 cups apple sauce (natural)
- 2 cups apple cider
- 1 1/2 cups honey
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon (ground)
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon cloves (ground)
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
In a slow cooker, combine all ingredients. Cover and cook on LOW for 12 to 14 hours or until mixture is a deep brown.
Spoon hot apple butter into containers. Seal and store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks or freeze for up to 3 months.
