Whether on smoked or grilled chicken, this barbecue chicken sauce will add extra flavor to your freshly cooked bird. This sauce works well on anything from rotisserie chicken to thighs, drumsticks, or even wings. So, slather it on for a tasty treat. 


  • 1 cup ketchup

  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar

  • 1/3 cup brown sugar

  • 2 clove cloves garlic

  • 1 tablespoon mustard

  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 1 teaspoon liquid smoke

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 tsp salt

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and allow to simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.

  3. Once the sauce has cooked through, remove from heat and allow to cool before using.

  4. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days after preparation.
