Whether on smoked or grilled chicken, this barbecue chicken sauce will add extra flavor to your freshly cooked bird. This sauce works well on anything from rotisserie chicken to thighs, drumsticks, or even wings. So, slather it on for a tasty treat. 

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup red wine vinegar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 clove garlic (minced)
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon ​liquid smoke
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp Salt (to taste)

Steps to Make It

  1. Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and allow to simmer for 8 to 10 minutes.

  2. Once the sauce has cooked through, remove from heat and allow to cool before using.

  3. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days after preparation.
