This vegan version of Cafe Au Lait is rich, creamy and lactose-free. It uses soymilk in lieu of water and milk to achieve a pleasing texture and full flavor.


  • 1 cup hot soymilk (or other dairy alternative, such as cashew milk or almond milk)

  • 1 heaping teaspoon quality instant coffee (such as Starbucks' VIA or Trader Joe's instant Colombian coffee)
  • Unrefined sugar or other vegan sweetener (to taste)

Steps to Make It

  1. Stir all ingredients together in a mug, and then enjoy.
