Strawberry-Kiwi Sangria With White Wine

Fresh fruit, a favorite wine and a fizzy splash of your favorite soda and you are well on your way of mixing up a snazzy summer Sangria. The sweet, complementary flavors of strawberry and kiwi carry the white wine ensemble carry this particular treat to cocktail-like status. Perfect for summer sipping or backyard barbecues, our white wine, strawberry and kiwi based Sangria doesn't disappoint!


  • 1(750 mL) bottle of white wine (Spanish Albarino, Sauvignon Blanc, Torrontes, or a white wine blend work particularly well with this recipe)
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries (washed, hulled and cut in quarters)
  • 3 to 4 kiwis (peeled and sliced)
  • 2 cups lemon-lime soda
  • Optional: a squeeze of lemon (or lime, to add more acidity)

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Start this tasty Sangria outright by pouring the white wine into a large pitcher.

  3. Next, add the sugar and stir until dissolved. Bring on the washed and sliced strawberry and kiwi fruit, add an optional squeeze of lemon or lime. Cover and refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.

  4. When ready to serve, add ice and 2 cups of your favorite lemon-lime soda to the pitcher. Gently stir. Pour and serve.
