Creamy meets crunchy in this this tasty sweet potato casserole. Frozen pre-cut sweet potatoes make this recipe easy to prepare. This sweet potato casserole makes a great weeknight dinner or Thanksgiving side dish.

Ingredients

  • 24 ounces pre-cut frozen sweet potatoes (such as Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash)
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • For the Streusel Topping:
  • 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
  • 3/4 cup light brown sugar (firmly-packed)
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients. Preheat oven to 375 F.

  2. Spray a 1-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.​

  3. Steam the sweet potatoes in microwave according to package directions.​

  4. Pour the sweet potatoes into a mixing bowl. Add the milk, butter, brown sugar, and salt.

  5. Mash until smooth and pour into the prepared dish.​

  6. Mix together the topping ingredients.

  7. Sprinkle over the sweet potatoes.

  8. Bake 25 minutes, until topping is browned and the sweet potatoes are heated through.
