Creamy meets crunchy in this this tasty sweet potato casserole. Frozen pre-cut sweet potatoes make this recipe easy to prepare. This sweet potato casserole makes a great weeknight dinner or Thanksgiving side dish.
- 24 ounces pre-cut frozen sweet potatoes (such as Ore-Ida Steam n' Mash)
- 1/3 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoons salt
- For the Streusel Topping:
- 3/4 cup pecans (chopped)
- 3/4 cup light brown sugar (firmly-packed)
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
Gather the ingredients. Preheat oven to 375 F.
Spray a 1-quart casserole dish with cooking spray.
Steam the sweet potatoes in microwave according to package directions.
Pour the sweet potatoes into a mixing bowl. Add the milk, butter, brown sugar, and salt.
Mash until smooth and pour into the prepared dish.
Gather the streusel ingredients.
Mix together to form a topping.
Sprinkle over the sweet potatoes.
Bake 25 minutes, until topping is browned and the sweet potatoes are heated through.
