A delicious and easy to make Swiss venison steak crock pot recipe made with onion soup mix.

What You'll Need

  • 3 pounds venison steak
  • Flour, about 1/2 cup
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon ​​salt
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic salt
  • 1 envelope Lipton onion soup mix
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of mushroom soup

How to Make It

  1. Mix flour, salt, pepper and garlic salt together.
  2. Coat meat with flour.
  3. Tenderize meat by pounding with a meat hammer. Brown in a heavy skillet.
  4. Put meat in roasting pan or slow cooker.
  5. Pour both soups on top and cook for 3 hours at 325 F in a roaster or a slow cooker on high for 4 hours.
  6. You may add potatoes, carrots, and onions, etc. if desired.
