The real secret with any kind of teriyaki recipe is to get the sauce to glaze over the surface of the meat without burning. If you keep a close eye on it, you shouldn't have any trouble.

Ingredients

  • 6 pork chops

  • 2/3 cup soy sauce

  • 1/3 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed

  • 1/3 cup water

  • 1/4 cup rice vinegar

  • 3 cloves garlic, finely chopped

  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped peeled​ fresh ginger

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. In a saucepan mix all ingredients except the pork chops and heat until sugar dissolves. Let cool.

  3. Place chops in a large container or plastic bag. Pour marinade over chops and seal the container. Let sit overnight.

  4. Prepare grill.

  5. Remove chops from marinade and place marinade in a saucepan add water. Bring to a boil for 5 minutes.

  6. Grill chops over medium flame until cooked all the way through. Baste with marinade a few minutes before they are done.

  7. Pour warmed reserved marinade over chops before serving.

  8. Enjoy!
