A Seattle bartender named Keith Waldbauer made the Revelator famous in the midst of a cocktail competition. The drink soon became a menu staple at Liberty Bar, where Waldbauer works. Serve up the Revelator at your next party, happy hour event, or any time you need a pick-me-up. You won't be disappointed!
- 0.5 oz. Averna Amaro
- 2 oz tequila (Reposado Tequila; you can also use anejo tequila)
- 3-4 espresso beans
- 0.5 oz. sweet vermouth
- 1 dash spicy pepper bitters
- Garnish: orange peel
Gather the ingredients.
Add all the ingredients to a shaker with ice
Stir for a good 15-30 seconds and then strain into a coupe.
Top with an orange peel, flamed if you’re brave.
