This tasty sour cream tomato dip is wonderful with fresh tomatoes in season, but it makes a great dip any time of the year.

Ingredients

  • 1 medium tomato (chopped)
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons sugar (or to taste)
  • 1/4 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup shallots (finely chopped)
  • 2 cups sour cream

Steps to Make It

  1. Combine tomatoes with lemon juice, salt, and pepper; let stand for 45 minutes.

  2. Add Worcestershire sauce, green onions, and sour cream; stir to blend.

  3. Refrigerate to chill thoroughly.

  4. Serve with veggie dippers or chips.
