Vegan tartar sauce is good for dipping tofu or vegetarian mock fish. Try serving vegan tartar with vegetarian Old Bay mock crab cakes or kid-approved breaded tofu nuggets.

This simple vegan tartar sauce is made from silken tofu, lemon juice, mustard, and pickle relish.

What You'll Need

  • 1/2 pound soft (silken) tofu
  • 1/4 cup safflower oil
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp mustard
  • 1/4 cup pickle relish

How to Make It

  1. In a food processor or blender, combine all ingredients, except pickle relish, and process until smooth.
  2. Stir in relish by hand. Serve.
