What makes BLTs so good? Is it simply the perfect combination of smokey bacon, crisp and refreshing iceberg lettuce and juicy tomatoes or is it something more? Maybe it's the nostalgic qualities that this dear sandwich holds or is its unapologetic simplicity that's stayed constant throughout history.

Whatever the reason may be, we all can agree that this sandwich is pretty perfect when in its original format but I think I've found two more added ingredients that can make this dish...MORE even more amazing. Try adding my fragrant lemon and basil aioli along with a fried egg and let me know what you think.

Pimento Cheese + Ham Biscuit Sandwiches

Rich, creamy and irresistible pimento cheese is piled on top of a flaky buttery biscuit with a few slices of salty-sweet country fried ham, bright and flavorful pickled red onions, and earthy and vibrant bright green scallions. It's comfort food at its finest and it's bite sized so you don't have to feel guilty!

These little tea-time sandwiches are the perfect appetizer for baby showers, luncheons, or when you just really need to sit on the couch and binge eat until you're...MORE satiated. And although this recipe only makes one sandwich, I prefer to serve these by the dozen with a few pitchers of mimosas or bloody marys.

If you're vegetarian, leave out the pan-fried country ham and try adding a thick slice of salted tomato or some herbed buttermilk dressed greens.

Brisket, a Fried Egg, Chow Chow and Pork Rinds
    Grilled Cheese Social

Airy fried pork rinds, sweet and tangy BBQ brisket, zesty Southern chow chow, bacon-infused gouda crisped up on a toasted English Muffin and a rich sunny-side up egg makes up this crazy Southern breakfast sandwich. It may look like something that was made on a late night munchy fest in a Frat house in South Georgia, but I assure you that this sandwich is more than a drunken mouthful. Serve alongside an ice cold brass monkey – that's a cocktail made with a 40 ounce of Old English mixed with...MORE some fresh (or let's be real – boxed) orange juice and a couple of advil. Enjoy!

I have to admit that when I dreamt up a poundcake grilled cheese, I thought that I was a pure genius. The buttery, sweet bread crisps up so beautifully and when paired with sweet and earthy fig jam, and creamy brie, well the combo gets even more delicious. I've served this sandwich for breakfast with a side of bacon, for dessert with powdered sugar on top, and pretty much any time that I've had poundcake around.
